MOURARIA APARTMENT
The design focuses on spatial flexibility, enabling continuous movement through and around a central core, the only enclosed room, that now benefits from natural light thanks to the restoration of an original glass clerestory. Bespoke carpentry plays a key role, enhancing transitional elements throughout all the living spaces. The interiors are enriched by the use of handmade cement tiles paired with warm pine flooring, while locally sourced stones add tonal depth. Discreetly concealed storage along the perimeter combines modern functionality with a respectful nod to the apartment’s historic character.
