BOM REPARO RETREAT

The project involved converting an existing set of small buildings into an agro-tourism facility, with a refreshed appearance. The monastic building complex, situated in southern Portugal, incorporates a mysterious chapel enclosing the complex to the north. The planned retreat program, focusing on yoga and mindfulness practices, strongly advocates for a courtyard as a central element of the new structure. The proximity to the confluence of two rivers and the presence of springs highlight water as a key feature of the new courtyard. Additionally, it facilitates future expansion and adaptation.
